NOTE: If you have prior permanent cosmetic work done from another artist, you must send a

photo before booking. Please text your photo to 484-867-5830. Once we receive and review

your photo, we can assess the saturation of the previous tattoo. The level of saturation will

determine whether we can perform work over your previous tattoo.

Our touch up prices are honored if work was previously done by an artist at Brows by Mylo. If

you have had previous work by another artist, the work will be assessed as a new procedure.

Hence, will not be considered a touch up procedure.

  • Do not consume alcohol 24 hours prior to appointment.
  • No caffeine for at least a couple hours prior to appointment.
  • Do not tan 2 weeks prior to the procedure or have sunburned face.

  • Avoid chemical treatments (Glycolic treatment, etc.) or microdermabrasion for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after procedure.
  • Avoid laser treatments 4 weeks before your appointment.
  • Avoid working out on the day of the procedure.

* Please note that you will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.

* Before your appointment, we would suggest washing your hair and scalp thoroughly since the

treated area must stay out of water as much as possible for the first couple of days.

* Avoid having an empty stomach on the day of procedure to reduce the level of discomfort.

Additional Preparation for the Brows:

  • No Botox, Filler or Dysport injections within 2 weeks before/after procedure it takes 2 weeks to settle in the skin.
  • You must stop using Accutane six months prior to procedure.
  • You must stop using Retin A, Retinal, or Renova around your brow area 14 days prior to procedure.
  • Do not wax or tint your brows 3 days prior to the procedure.
  • If you would like to give us a general idea of how you prefer your brows shaped, you can pencil them in before you come in. The area will be properly cleaned and precisely re-sketched before the work. You can bring reference photo(s) but it is not necessary. It’s ok if you don’t know how you want them shaped because we can determine that on the day of your appointment.

Additional Preparation for the Lip Blush Tattoo:

  • At least 1 week before your appointment date, exfoliate your lips every other day and always keep your lips moisturized daily to prevent lips from being chapped or cracking.
  • If your lips are severely chapped or you have an outbreak on your lip area, we are not able to work on you. We would have to reschedule your appointment. Please drink lots of water to reduce dryness on your lips.
  • No lip filler injections 2 weeks before/after procedure.
  • Take care of your oral hygiene thoroughly (brushing, flossing) before your appointment because right after the procedure, lips are sore.
  • VERY IMPORTANT! If you are prone to cold sores or fever blisters, you will need an antiviral prescription from your doctor before the lip procedure. • No makeup near the eye area

After care for all PROCEDURES

NOTE: If you are a blood donor, you may NOT give blood for 1 year following your permanent makeup application (according to Red Cross).

The Day of the Treatment, Day 1:

1st Hour: Right after the procedure, gently blot the treated area with a slightly moistened cotton

pad/gauze every 10 minutes to absorb excess lymph fluid. (Pads are moistened with sterile

water or distilled water; avoid tap water). It is very important that you blot off the excess fluid

multiple times in the first hour after the procedure to prevent the buildup of a crusty layer.

2nd Hour: In the second hour, you want to take this opportunity to rinse your treated area (and

face too) thoroughly with distilled/bottled water (again avoid tap water). Please apply slow,

gentle movements on the treated area as the skin is tender. Next, gently blot the treated area

with a soft tissue a couple times to dry the area. Once the skin is completely dry, apply a THIN

layer of Aquaphor healing ointment on the treated area (always a thin application).

Day 2 – 10:

  • Apply a very THIN layer of the healing ointment (Aquaphor) twice a day for at least 7 days, morning and night. Before you re-apply another layer of ointment, you want to dab off the previous layer with a soft tissue first. If you do use your fingertip, please make sure it is cleaned. Be sure not to over apply, as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. NEVER apply the ointment on a wet or damp tattooed area.
  • Minimize contact with water on treated area as much as possible for at least 7 days and avoid any rough movement.
  • You will also want to limit your shower duration due to the steam. Keep your face/treated area out of the direct water pressure in the shower until you are fully healed and there is no sign of scabbing. In general, avoid excessive rinsing and hot water on the treated area.
  • Do not apply makeup, sunscreen, cleanser or other products on treated area for the first 8 days.
  • Do not perform intense exercise or sweat heavily for the first 7 days.
  • Avoid hot steamy showers/ hot tubs/ pools/ocean during healing process.
  • Avoid direct heavy sun/UV exposure or tanning for the first 10 days.
  • Do not scratch, rub or pick the treated area. Let any scabbing naturally flake off; picking can cause scarring.
  • Avoid sleeping on your face for at least 7 days.
  • Do not apply anything abrasive to your healing area.
  • Avoid friction on treated area

Additional After Care for the Lip Blush Tattoo:

  • Avoid hot food coming in contact with your lips for 3 days.
  • Drink through a straw for first 3 days.
  • Avoid messy food, spicy food and food that can leave stain on your lips (soy sauce, BBQ sauce) for at least 3 days.
  • Continue taking an antiviral medicine if you are prone to cold sore for at least 5 days or as suggested by your doctor.
  • Avoid Smoking for first 5 days.
  • Avoid physical contact on lips for at least 5 days.

Additional After Care for the Eyeliner Tattoo:

  • In the first hour, rinse out your eye with an Eye Wash solution a couple times just in case if there is any remnant of ink. Dab a moistened Q-tip on the inside corners of your eyes to pick up any remnant of ink that settle in the area.
  • No eye makeup (including mascara) for first 3 days.
  • Avoid wearing contact lenses for first 2 days.
